Casamania Twee T large size bird cage suspension light from a collection of lamps designed by Jake Phipps. 

The idea of a bird cage comes from the Roman and Egyptian civilisation. In England, caged birds in the home was a sign of a good upbringing. This later developed into the lamp-object, an icon of British high status. 

The metal rod cage is coated in 24 carat gold paint and comes with a gold hand painted ceramic bird.
